Medical & Physician Scales

Medical and physician scales are used to determine body mass and or BMI index, which is why these scales are fitted with height rods.

BMI or Body Mass Index is a calculation derived from a person’s height and body mass to give an indication if they are over or under their target weight.

Accurate body mass is required for example in prescribing of medicine or anesthetic in surgery.

These scales are not only used by doctors in hospitals or clinics, but  a wide variety of disciplines like dieticians, gymnasiums and even home use where people are monitoring their weight.
