Basically digital scale indicators are divided into two categories, namely general weighing or Legal Metrology use.

A  scale indicator is the digital readout of the scale weight that is instantaneously calculated from the loadcells when mass is applied to the scale platform.

The readable weight is displayed via an LED or LCD panel. Digital scale indicators can be user configured for a variety of maximum capacities and scale increments.

Most uses are for parts counting, animal weighing or batch controlling applications. They can be optioned with large external scoreboard displays, printers or specialized outputs.
